Below is a crayon drawing I did when I was 5 years old.
Some words used to describe my work have been bold, playful, liminal, whimsical, storybook-like, light-hearted and illustrative.
One of my earliest art obsessions was with Mexican muralists. The narrative and bold use of color really resonates with me. With my personal work, I hope to continuously move forward in maturing childlikeness, with visual statements that communicate love, light and hope.
Music serves as one of the greatest sources of inspiration for me. Visual art and music are intrinsically linked…like kindred souls.
“From My Heart” by Eric Johnson, describes how I feel about making art. It comes from my heart, now being filled and guided by the incomparable Love and Truth of The Creator of the universe. Much gratitude goes to all artists, both visual and musical, who fueled my fire of creativity for over 30 years.
